James Crawford Gosser, 99, of Russell Springs, KY died Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY. He was born on February 6, 1926 in Russell County, a son of the late Chester and Nova Gosser.
Mr. Gosser was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille. They wed on May 31, 1947 and were married for 69 years. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Roxie Adwell and one brother, Virl Gosser.
He was a farmer in the Gosser Ridge Community, a longtime member of Pine Grove United Baptist Church, and a World War II Veteran having served in the Army from 1944-1946. Mr. Gosser was also a Mason. He will be sadly missed by his family, neighbors and friends.

1 son: Danny Dale Gosser & wife Linda of Upton, KY
7 grandchildren: Matthew Helm & Caitlyn, Michelle Kerr & Jim, Troy Gosser & Glenna, Jill Gosser, Sarah Strader & Jason, Katie Blakeney & Mike, Daniel Gosser & Samantha
15 great-grandchildren (& one on the way): Carly & Levi Helm, Josh Kerr, Leah Turner & Jordan, Jennifer Cerrato & Shawn, Avery, Oakley and Lakelyn Strader, Oliver, Eleanor, Josephine, Gabe, Juniper, Juliet & Baby Blakeney.
5 great-great grandchildren: Aiken & Reed Turner, Emma Kerr, Brianna Cardwell & Cam and Braydon Ceratto

Funeral Service: Sunday, September 14, 2025 at 2:00pmCT at Wilson Funeral Home in Russell Springs, KY with Bro. Joe Gosser oficiating
Burial: Pine Grove United Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors by the Russell County Honor Guard
Visitation: After 10:00amCT on Sunday at Wilson Funeral Home
