Gary Lee Luttrell,79, of Russell Springs, KY passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. He was born on August 16, 1946 in Russell County, the son of the late Waldo and Lola Johnson Luttrell.
After graduating high school, Gary enrolled in farrier school and spent the next 35 years being a self-employed farrier. Gary also was a mechanic at Russell Sportswear and a school bus driver for the Russell County Board of Education for 20 years. Gary enjoyed woodworking, hunting and trapping, and doing anything outdoors. Gary was a faithful member of Mt. Eden Baptist Church.

His beloved wife of 44 years: Lena Clements Luttrell of Russell Springs
2 children: John (and Erin) Luttrell and Diana Porter (and Allen), both of Russell Springs
6 grandchildren: Zach, Nick, Wes, Luke, Noah, and Aidan
4 great-grandchildren
3 special brothers-in-law: Kent Clements (and Kathy) of Liberty, Brent (and Tracey) Clements of Windsor, and Phillip Clements of Waddy
In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his son, Kenny Luttrell.
