Danny Joe Rodgers, 76, of Columbia, KY, a son of the late Joseph Simpson Rodgers and Lennie Merle Keltner Rodgers, was born on June 15, 1949 in Adair County, KY. He departed this life on Thursday, October 16, 2025 in Columbia.
Danny had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Pickett’s Chapel Church. He was affectionately known as “Poppy” by his grandchildren, and he enjoyed fishing, hunting and farming. Danny retired from the maintenance department at Campbellsville University.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Baker Rodgers, on April 17, 2019 and by a brother, Jimmy Rodgers.

2 daughters: Shelley (Shawn) Phillips & Misty (Jarrod) Willis, both of Columbia
8 grandchildren: Jayden Willis, Trevor Willis, CJ and Katherine Rodgers, Jenna Rodgers, Byron Rodgers, Ryder Rodgers, Maddox Phillips and Addison Phillips
