Elmer Egger, 88, of Russell Springs, KY passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at Baptist Health in Lexington. He was born on February 15, 1937 in London, KY, a son of the late Herman and Maxine Hood Egger.
Elmer was a farmer and a member of Russell Springs First Baptist Church. He was also a carpenter and heavy equipment operator by trade.

2 daughters: Patti (Chuck) Carter of Nashville, TN and Debbie (Charles) Blakenship of Russell Springs
1 sister: Bertha Sullivan of Frankfort
4 grandchildren: Erin (Chris) Blakenship Potts, Joshua (Emily) Carter, Morgan (and Britt) Carter Bowden, and Grayson (Beth) Blakenship
6 great-grandchildren: Sawyer Potts, Sutton Potts, Emory Bowden, Blakely Bowden, Henry Carter, and Miles Carter
In addition to his parents, Elmer was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Shirley McQueen Egger, who passed away on May 24, 2025; his brother, Conly Egger; and his sisters: Edeline Harper and Hilda Burdine.
Graveside Service: Friday, November 7, 2025 at 10:00amCT at Poplar Grove Cemetery with Bro. Jeric DeVore officiating
Special music will be provided by Lindsay Lyon.
