Arlie A. Roy, 72, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Friday, November 14, 2025 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset. He was born on July 26, 1953 in Somerset, KY, a son of the late Arnold and Lorcie Wilson Roy.
Arlie was a farmer for most of his life, raising both beef cattle and running a dairy operation. He also had his own fencing business for many years. Arlie enjoyed fishing whenever he had an opportunity. He had a knack for working on anything mechanical, and with his willingness to help anyone in need, he often came to the rescue as the “Neighborhood Mechanic.” Arlie loved his family and was a good friend to many.

1 son: Mark Roy of Covington, KY
2 grandchildren: Aiden Roy and Arcadia Roy
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Arlis Roy and Carlie Roy and two sisters: Nelpha Scales and Bethel Tarter.
