Margie R. Barnes, 90, of Jamestown, KY passed away Sunday, November 30, 2025 at home, surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Willow Shade, KY on June 26, 1935, a daughter of the late Flolene (Sartin) and William Thomas Rigsby.
She was a long-time educator, Russell County School board member, and a member of the Russell Chapter #432 Order of the Eastern Star.

2 sons: B.B. Barnes (Paula) and Brad Barnes, both of Jamestown, KY
3 brothers: Bobby Rigsby of Edmonton, KY, Otis Rigsby of Willow Shade, KY and Kermit Ray Rigsby of Indiana
1 granddaughter: Jalena Bryant (Garrett)
2 great-grandchildren: Jacklyn Rae and Barrett William Bryant
A host of nieces & nephews
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Barnes; a brother, Wesley Keith Rigsby; and a sister, Martha Jane Hargis.
