Carron Mae Nehez, 79, of Russell Springs, KY (formerly of Martinsville, Indiana), passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at her son’s home in Martinsville, where she was lovingly cared for by her family. She was born on April 3, 1946 in Russell Springs, KY to the late Garnett Raymond McBeath and Bernice Mattie (Ragle) Miller.
She spent her childhood in Russell Springs before moving to Indiana in 1965 to begin her career. That same year, she started working for General Motors in Indianapolis, where she devoted 25 years of service before retiring in 1990 and returning to her beloved hometown.
Carron found joy in life’s simple blessings. She had a special talent and love for vegetable and flower gardening, crafting, and she cherished time spent attending the Annual 127 Sale with her family. She also adored her cats, who were constant companions throughout her life. After returning to Kentucky, Carron opened her own craft store, Craft Corner, which she proudly operated for more than a decade.

2 stepsons: Casper (Susie) Nehez III of Greenwood, IN and Tom Nehez of Shelbyville, IN
3 brothers: Garnett “Cotton” (Verlene) McBeath, Phillip “Pino” McBeath, and Garlin “Garbo” McBeath, all of Russell Springs, KY
1 sister: Chloie Brown of Jabez, KY
5 cherished grandchildren & 2 precious great-granddaughters
In addition to her parents, Carron was preceded in death by her husband, Casper Nehez, on May 18, 2024, and by two brothers, William “Duck” McBeath and Charles “Chuck” McBeath.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 12:00 PM–2:00 PM at Bernard Funeral Home in Russell Springs, KY. A celebration of Carron’s life will begin at 2:00 PM, followed by burial in McBeath Cemetery in Russell Springs.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Donations may also be left at the funeral home to be forwarded to the hospital.
Neal & Summers Funeral and Cremation Center in Martinsville has been entrusted with Carron’s final arrangements in Indiana. Services in Kentucky are being handled by Bernard Funeral Home.
