Lilburn Earl Grant, 83, of Columbia, KY passed away Thursday, December 18, 2025 at his residence. He was born on October 11, 1942 in Adair County to the late Walter Jennings and Ruby Beard Grant.

Mr. Grant was also preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Jean Gaskins Grant and two brothers: Joe and Victor Grant.

Mr. Grant regularly attended New Hope Separate Baptist Church and completed two tours in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, serving with the 101st Airborne Division “Screaming Eagles”. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

4 children: Cameron Wade Grant of Columbia, KY, Tonya Feese (James) of Knifley, KY, Janella Rae Miller (Brian) of Nancy, KY and Scott Stargel of Columbia, KY

8 grandchildren: Diamond Stargel-Ford (Cody), Trayton Scott Stargel, Kiley Feese McDaniel (Jake), Grant Feese, Calvin Adam Miller, Kathyryn Alafaire Miller, Canyon Brian Miller and Karolyna Rae Miller

2 great-grandchildren: Revanyx Scott Ford and Rowyn Mallory McDaniel

1 sister: Patricia Grant Yates of Columbia, KY

Burial: New Hope Cemetery with full military honors provided by VFW Post 6097

Visitation: Saturday, December 20, 2025 from 4:00pm-8:00pmCT and Sunday morning until time of service

Pallbearers: Trayton Stargel, Grant Feese, Calvin Miller, Dennis Yates, Lincoln Grant and Greg Janes

Honorary Pallbearers: Canyon Miller, Zack Grant and Revanyx Scott Ford
