Millard Eldon Kinnett, 98, of Columbia, KY passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2025. He was born in Jamestown, KY on July 21, 1927 to the late Hollie and Noma Antle Kinnett.
Millard professed faith in Jesus Christ and was of the Separate Baptist faith. He completed basic training in the US Army and was honorably discharged when World War II ended. He worked at Wolf Creek Dam, Fire Stone Tire and Rubber, and spent the last 65 years doing the work he loved as a farmer.
He cherished time with family and friends, and found joy in church services, revivals, farming, sports, cooking, and gardening. Family and friends were blessed by his weekly visits and the garden vegetables, apples, and other foods he purchased to share. Pa Kinnett especially loved and was loved by children who were drawn to his warm smile, fun happy spirit, and the Juicy Fruit gum, candy, and other treats he shared. He lived his belief that faith, family, friendships, integrity, and hard work defined a life well lived. He never met a stranger, only friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Maxine Kinnett; mother-in-law, Martha Kinnett; two sons: Daryl Kinnett and infant son, Dwayne Kinnett; one grandson, Brandon Kinnett; two daughters-in-law: Donna and Patty Kinnett; two brothers: Kermit and Curtis Kinnett; three sisters: Ruby Donald, Mae and Ruth Kinnett; and maternal grandmother & step-grandfather: Edward and Leler Helm Bradshaw (who raised him and his brother Kermit after his mother’s death).
