JD McKinney, 88, of Breeding, KY died Thursday, December 25, 2025 in Lexington, KY. He was born on March 6, 1937 in Adair County to the late Ray and Delpha Coomer McKinney.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Genette Tweedy McKinney on March 4, 2025, and the following siblings: Alfred McKinney, Ruby England and Betty Bean.
Mr. McKinney was retired from Columbia Adair County Utilities District, had previously worked at IMO Industries, drove a van for Wilkerson Transport, and was a farmer.

7 grandchildren: Courtney McKinney, Cara Gibson (Brian), Whitney Reed Glass (Collin), Jesse Reed (Rashell), Casey McKinney, Chris Fletcher (Renee) and Cameron Fletcher (Lauren)

Burial: Fudge Cemetery
Visitation: After 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at the funeral home
