Paul Byron Helm, 62, of Columbia, KY passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at The Medical Center at Bowling Green, KY. He was born in Russell Springs, KY on October 13, 1963 to the late Byron Wayne and Laverne Gaskin Helm.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Carlotta Keltner.
Mr. Helm attended Union Chapel Church and was an adventurous person that lived his life to the fullest. Known for his witty personality, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing the guitar, playing Rook, golfing and fishing.

3 children: Michael Smallwood (Vanessa) and Wayne Helm both of Columbia, KY and Summer Helm (Steven McCaig) of Colorado
3 grandchildren: Joshua Smallwood (Brennan), Jordan Smallwood (fiancée Kaylei Neat) and Mia Martinez
3 sisters: Kathy Nissley (Daniel) of Columbia, KY, Linda Kelley (Joe) of Campbellsville, KY and Bridget Singleton (Jeff) of Stanford, KY

Funeral Service: Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 10:30amCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Daniel Nissley officiating
Burial: Hadley Cemetery
Visitation: Friday, January 9, 2026 from 3:00pm-7:00pmCT and Saturday until time for the service
Pallbearers: Tony Sneed, Kenny Grider, Kyle Cundiff, Mike Smallwood, Wayne Helm, and Logan Nissley
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
