Helen Bernice Cape Meece, 78, of Somerset, KY passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, KY. She was born on August 16, 1947, in Glens Fork, KY to the late Rufus and Hazel Gifford Bunch. She was preceded in death by her husbands Forest Edwin Cape and Irwin Meece.

Mrs. Meece was a member of the Southern Heights Christian Church in Somerset, KY and enjoyed fishing, cooking, sewing and spending time with her family and friends.

4 children: Clarkie Hale of Somerset, Ky and Belinda Meece of Lawrenceburg, KY, Jeffrey Meece (Penny) and Jerry Meece (Patty) both of Frankfort, KY

12 grandchildren: Waylon Bradshaw (Jessica), Clint Bradshaw (Miranda), Josh, Alyssa, Shane, Crystal, Nicole, Rebecca, and Jerry Michael Meece, Jessica Rucker, Tiffany Perkins and Brittany Perkins

1 brother: Donnie Bunch (Patty) of Glens Fork, KY

Several nieces & nephews

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by seven siblings: Rufus Bunch, Jr., Buddy Bunch, Paul Bunch, Frances Kelly, Bobbie Hadley, Betty Grant and Audrey Bunch, a grandson, Matthew Hale and a great grandchild, Kaston Beck.

Burial: Haven Hill Cemetery
