Violet Mildred Loy, 88, of Columbia, KY passed away Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, KY. She was born on February 6, 1937 in Columbia, KY to the late James and Flossie Estes Brown.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Young Loy; a son, Darrell Loy; and a grandson, Eric Spires.
Mrs. Loy was a member of the Pierces Chapel Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, quilting, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Daughter-in-law: Peggy Loy of Columbia, KY
3 grandchildren: Kristi Irvin (Marty), Kasey Loy (Holly) and Jamie Spires (Jennifer)
8 great-grandchildren: Damion, Jaxon, Austin, Aidan, Madison, Braxton, Alex and Andrew
3 siblings: Joyce Baker, Sharon Smith (Ralph) and Radius Brown (Marcella) all of Columbia, KY
