Charlie Wright, 77, Adair County, KY

 

Charlie Wright, 77, of the Chance community of Adair County, KY died Sunday, January 25, 2026 at his home. He was born April 23, 1948 in Louisville, KY to the late Marion Charles and Sophia Marie Warren Wright. 

 

Charlie attended Trinity Church, was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving during Vietnam, a former firefighter with Okolona Fire Department, an E.M.T., served as Jefferson County Deputy Sheriff, and was a member of the Fairdale Masonic Lodge. After moving to Adair County, he worked as Night Security Guard for the Adair County School System and at Advance Auto Parts.

 

SURVIVORS:

His wife: Patricia Theiss Wright of Chance

2 daughters: Amy Warrender (Joshua) of Denver, Colorado and April Wright (Mark Reichenbach) of Louisville

2 grandchildren: Shelby Clark and Lois Reichenbach

Funeral Service: Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 1:00pmCT at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home in Columbia, KY with Bro. Steve Martin officiating

 

Masonic rites will be conducted at the conclusion of the funeral by Columbia Lodge #96.

 

Burial: Kentucky Veterans Central Cemetery in Radcliff on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at 12:30pmCT, with full military honors

 

Visitation: After 11:00amCT on Wednesday, February 4, 2026

 

Grissom-Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
