Timothy “Prill” Joe Moore, 64, of Columbia, KY fell asleep in death on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 after a short illness. He was born to Bobby Joe Moore and Jerry Elaine Lawless Moore on April 25, 1961 in a second-story doctor’s office located on the Public Square in Columbia.
A graduate of Adair County High School in 1979, Prill called Columbia home his entire life. As a child, Prill had a passion for car racing, watching Mario Andretti for hours on the television. Prill’s love of sports blossomed to include all sports, but mostly, he was an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan.
At the age of 15, Prill’s first job was working at Food Check Market on the corner of Jamestown and Tutt Streets. He later worked at Houchen’s Grocery, as a carpenter in the construction industry, and spent many years self-employed. He also worked at Moore’s Poolroom, his family’s business on the Public Square. For the past several years, Prill worked at Amazon in Campbellsville.
Family and friends will remember Prill for his quick wit, sense of humor, and clever comebacks. He often left listeners in stitches with his lively stories and anecdotes. He was a master of one-liners. But, most importantly, Prill honored those he loved by being faithful and loyal. Ever protective of his family, he was a good provider and attentive to their needs.
Besides his parents, Prill was preceded in death by long-time life mate, Angela Smith, who passed away in 2025.
