Bonnie Lou Johnson Perkins, 86, of Russell Springs, KY passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026 at Fair Oaks Nursing Home in Jamestown, KY. She was born on September 14, 1939 in Eli, KY to the late Osba Johnson and Hazel Roy Johnson.
Bonnie was known for her kindness, sense of humor, and love for music and dance. She was devoted and loyal to her family and friends. Bonnie’s Christian faith shone through in her loving and generous spirit toward all who knew her.
Bonnie was a proud GED graduate and earned certification as a Child Development Associate (CDA) through Somerset Community College, serving Russell County Head Start until her retirement. She was known for hosting local karaoke and was a pillar in the local bluegrass music scene for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers: Rodney L. Johnson, Garva Johnson, and Roy Wayne Johnson of Russell Springs, KY.

Internment: McBeath Cemetery, Old Eli, KY
Visitation: Beginning at 12:00pmCT on Monday at the funeral home
