Gary Silas Robertson, 76, was born in Russell Springs, KY on July 29, 1949, the fourth child to Oscar and Lura Burton Robertson. He passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at Liberty Care Center in Liberty, KY after a brief battle with leukemia.
Gary graduated from Russell County High School as a member of the Class of 1968 and later attended Southeastern Christian College in Winchester, KY where he was member of the basketball program.
Gary was employed by Stephens’ Pipe and Steel for many years as a regional salesman. He also worked for several years at Suntime Pools in Lexington, Kentucky, selling and installing pools. In his free time Gary enjoyed watching and talking about University of Kentucky sports. He will be remembered for his outgoing personality and quick wit.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Randy, and his brother-in-law, Herbert “Buck” Wheat.
Per Gary’s request, there will be no public service. A private memorial will take place at a later date.
