Dennis Ray Grider, 71, Cincinnati, Ohio

 
Dennis Ray Grider, 71, of Cincinnati, Ohio lost his long battle with cancer on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at Hospice of Cincinnati in Blue Ash, Ohio. He was born September 14, 1954 in Somerset, KY, a son of the late Lawson and Lucille Calhoun Grider.  
 
Dennis was a former cemetery worker and had dug graves in the Cincinnati area for over 17 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing so much that he was willing to travel 100 miles just to fish for one day at a private lake in Indiana. Dennis will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
 
SURVIVORS:
1 son: Erik Grider of Cincinnati, Ohio
1 daughter: Dennise Renee Grider (and Alex Miller) of Somerset, KY
3 grandchildren: Korrianne Warner, Koddi Grider, and Brooklyn Grider
1 great-grandchild on-the-way
2 brothers: Larry Grider of Russell Springs, KY and Kenneth Grider of Cincinnati, Ohio
2 sisters: Sue Blair of Russell Springs, KY and Linda Grider of Columbia, KY
 
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Mitchell Grider, George Grider, and Jimmie Dale Grider.
 
Graveside Service: Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 1:00pmCT at the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Adair County with Bro. Delvin Wilson officiating
