Justin Ray Franklin, 43, of Summer Shade, KY passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. He was born in Glasgow, KY on May 5, 1983 to Ronnie and Linda Stephens Franklin.
Justin was preceded in death by his grandparents: Gordon (Juanita) Franklin and Raymond (Lugene) Jessee.
Justin dedicated much of his professional life to being a tree climber, a role that perfectly suited his spirit and love of the outdoors. Known for his smile and outgoing personality, he had the ability to bring lightness and laughter to those fortunate enough to cross his path. Beyond his career Justin had several hobbies and interests. An avid explorer of caves and an enthusiastic gardener, he nurtured life both beneath the earth and above it. He enjoyed tending to his garden, growing vegetables, cooking and canning.
