Kevel Grider, 94, Russell Springs, KY


Kevel Grider, 94, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at Summit Manor Nursing Home in Columbia, KY. She was born on April 26, 1932 in Russell Springs, KY, the daughter of the late Ezra and Arizona West Stephens.
 

She was a retired cook in the Russell County School System and a long-time member of Main Street Church of God.

SURVIVORS:
2 daughters: Retta Grider Hatfield & husband Bobby and Regina Grider Tiller & husband Gerald, both of Russell Springs, KY

1 son: Richard Grider & wife Brenda of Russell Springs, KY

1 brother: Bobby Stephens & wife Geraldine of Russell Springs, KY

3 granddaughters: Andrea Hatfield, Breanna McGowan and Megan Smith

6 great-grandchildren & 3 great-great grandchildren

 

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Boyce Lemuel Grider, and siblings: Wilbert, Eli, Arvester, Jason and Calvin Stephens, Magdalene Stephens Rexroat, Ruth Smith Johnson, Virginia (Jenny) Stephens McQueary, and Orpha Stephens.


Funeral service: Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 1:00pmCT at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY

Visitation: After 10:00amCT on Saturday at the funeral home

Interment: Russell Springs Cemetery

Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
