Gladys Dean Brown Kimbler, 87, of Shepherdsville, KY went home to be with the Lord, February 21, 2026.
She was a faithful Christian and servant of Little Flock Baptist Church where she tended to the flower gardens and helped her late husband tend to the grounds.
She was a Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great grandmother. She retired from PNC bank with over thirty years of service. She was a marvelous cook who enjoyed having get togethers and backyard fish fry’s at her home with family and friends. She had a passion for gardening having both exuberant vegetable and flower gardens. She was an award winning quilter, receiving multiple ribbons and even a championship award from the KY State fair. She often gifted the quilts that she made to those closest to her. She spent her time volunteering with Dare to Care and VBS outreach programs. She was always willing and ready to gift her time and lend a hand to anyone who needed it.
She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 60 years Joseph H. Kimbler, her parents Athol and Zilma Dunbar Brown, three sisters Glenyce Brown, Joyce Brown Luckett and Janice Brown Corbin and one brother Roger Lee Brown.

Her siblings by marriage: Patrick Luckett, Faye Kimbler Simpson (AI), Delcia Kimbler Cook, and Delaine Miller Kimbler
2 children: Angelia Kimbler Miller (Phil) and Mark Kimbler
God Son: Clinton Luckett
5 grandchildren; Alex Trader, Nicholas Kimbler (Brianna), Kimberly Miller Selby (Ethan), Ashley Miller (Nathan Hatter) and David Miller
2 great-granddaughters: Ellie B. Selby and Bridgett M. Kimbler

Funeral service: Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 3:00pmET at the Little Flock Baptist Church (5500 N. Preston Hwy., Shepherdsville, KY) with cremation to follow
Visitation: Beginning at 10:00amET on Saturday at the church
