David Lee Johnson, 72, of Columbia, KY died Thursday, June 25, 2026 at his residence. He was born August 30, 1953 in Taylor County, KY to the late Charles Henry Johnson and Lillian Frances Bridgewater Johnson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Valenia Taylor Johnson and a step-daughter, Telicia Taylor.
David made a profession in Christ at an early age at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and was a member of New Grace Fellowship. To many he was known as “Pie” or “Cat Daddy” because of his love for Cadillacs and he always made sure to play his “Numbers”.

4 children: Ronell Douglas, Shauneeta Douglas-Gault, Shondeveron Shears, Zach Grammer
His stepson: Taran Taylor
Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews & friends
Graveside Service: Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. Central Time at Crown Hill Cemetery in Campbellsville, KY with Pastor K.F. Tuck officiating
There will be no visitation.
Grissom-Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
