Roger Paul Carnes, 82, of Jamestown, KY passed away Sunday, July 12, 2026 at Select Specialty Hospital in Danville, KY. He was born in Jamestown, KY on November 13, 1943, a son of the late Martha (Rogers) and Hobert Carnes.
Roger was a construction company owner, operator and farmer. He lived daily by his own motto: "When you have the best, don't go looking for more"

His wife: Wilma (Conner) Carnes of Jamestown, KY
1 daughter: Tammy Carnes Pyles (Doug) of Columbia, KY
1 son: John Paul Carnes of Jamestown, KY
2 brothers: Baker Carnes (Georgia) and Willard Carnes (Kay), both of Jamestown, KY
3 grandsons: Jacob Pyles, Luke Pyles (Amber) and Zachary Pyles
2 great-grandsons: Carson and Henry Pyles
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Franklin Carnes.
Cremation rites were honored according to Roger's wishes.
