Wanda Marie Henson, 80, of Columbia, KY passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 14, 2026 at Signature Health Columbia. She was a beloved Mom, Granny, and Hunny. She was born on May 11,1946 in Greensburg KY to the late Mort and Jessie Lee Wilcoxson.
She was a deeply devoted mother whose world revolved around her children and grandchildren.
Throughout her life she found great joy in music, indulging in sweet treats, and Elvis Presley. She loved the ocean and for her it was more than a destination, it was a place of peace, and a source of joy. Her legacy will live on in the memories, character, and love she instilled in her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers Jullian Wilcoxson, Herman Wilcoxson, sister Ohpelia Powell, and daughter-n-law Elonia Henson.
She is survived by her children Tina Cooley (Paul) of Lancaster, KY, Darren Henson (Erica) of Columbia, KY, and Jessica Critz (Andy) of Bronston, KY, her grandchildren Samantha Henson, Amber Said, JD Cooley, Clara Cooley, Cadence Critz, Carson Critz, and Charlotte Critz, Her brother Frank Wilcoxson (Jane), Half-Sister Joyce Kelly (Bill), and sister-n-law Betty Helen Sapp.
A memorial visitation will be held at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home in Columbia on Sunday, July 19, 2026 from 1 P.M. until 4 P.M. with private burial at a later date.
