Shawn Sovel Stephens, 54, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Saturday, July 18, 2026 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was born on November 4, 1971 in Somerset, KY, the son of Sovel Stephens and Joyce Holmes Stephens of Russell Springs, KY.
He was a counselor for the Department of Juvenile Justice, and a man of faith. Shawn was very family-oriented, enjoying any opportunity to share stories with family and friends. He was passionate about local athletics, loved farming, outdoor leisure activities and golfing. Shawn played football for Russell County High School and Campbellsville University.
