Sandy Biggs, 83, of Louisville, KY died Friday, July 17, 2026 at the St. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville. She was born March 3, 1943 in Jefferson County, KY to the late Fred J. and Lurlea Freeman Steinhauer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Stephen Steinhauer and Joey Steinhauer; nephews: Danny Glaab and Jon Fisher; and her in-laws: Bobbie and Barbara Biggs.
Sandy retired from Jefferson County Public Schools, first as English, Math and Computer Lab instructor at Pleasure Ridge Park High School where she also was Yearbook Sponsor, receiving many awards for the yearbook and was invited to present seminars to other yearbook sponsors across the country. After PRP, Sandy went to Male High School to be the computer lab instructor. That was supposed to be for one year and ended up being 14 years. In all, she spent 44 years in the JCPS.
She enjoyed SODUKU, reading, traveling with Calvin, family and friends, her Bridge Club, jewelry making, all crafts, design and gift creation for everyone. She was a member of Larchmont Church of God and had been attending Crossroads Church in Mt. Washington.

Funeral Service: Friday, July 24, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. (CENTRAL TIME) at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home in Columbia, KY with Bro. Tim Cain and Bro. Joe Smith officiating
Burial: Griffin Cemetery
Visitation: Thursday from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. (CENTRAL TIME) and Friday morning until time of service
Grissom-Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
