Sheila Rene Watson Blair, 59, of Columbia, KY passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 30, 1967 in Marion, Indiana, a daughter of James & Judy Grant Watson of Columbia, KY who survive.
Her passing brings deep sorrow to those who knew and loved her, while also leaving behind a legacy rooted in devotion to family, faithful service, and a life warmly shared with others.
Sheila was a 1985 graduate of Adair County High School and later attended Lindsey Wilson College. She gave much of her working life to public service, serving the Adair County Clerk’s Office for 40 years, from 1986 to the present. From 2006 until 2014, she served as Adair County Court Clerk, a role that reflected her steady commitment and dedication to her community.
Beyond her work, Sheila found great joy in life’s simple and meaningful pleasures. She loved going to the beach and treasured time spent with her family and friends, especially her grandsons. She was known for her delicious cooking and baking, gifts that brought comfort and happiness to many gatherings and made people feel welcomed in her presence. She was also an avid University of Kentucky fan, enjoying the excitement and spirit that came with cheering on her team. Her faith was an important part of her life as well. She was a member of Tabernacle Christian Church and had recently attended Columbia Christian Church. Most of all, Sheila will be remembered for the love she gave to her family.

She was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Wilbert "Boss" and Mary Ann Blair.
Funeral Service: Saturday, September 5, 2026 at 1:00pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Patton and Rev. Adam Shepard officiating
Burial: Haven Hill Cemetery
Visitation: Friday from 2:00pm-8:00pmCT and Saturday morning until time for the service
