The 2026 Adair County Food Pantry Fundraiser featuring Joe Lynn Barbee’s loaded baked potato w/BBQ, will be held on Friday, Oct 2nd from 10:30amCT until we run out of food. The fundraiser will be held at 203 S. Monroe Street in Columbia with our famous chef, Joe Barbee! 

Meals are $10 each; donations welcomed. Pre-Orders are highly recommended by September 28th. Local delivery of 5 or more in Columbia only.

The Downtown Days Photography Contest is back in 2026! 

The photography contest is hosted by the Adair County Public Library's Genealogy & History Research Center, 307 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY. 

Photographs should be taken in Columbia and Adair County, subject matter is up to the photographer. Entries must be printed in an 8 x 10 inch format—portrait or landscape. Both color and black & white are welcome. 

There are two categories: Amateur and Professional--please designate your category. 

Three photos by an entrant are the limit due to space for display. 

Entries must be turned in to the Research Center by 5pm on October 1st to be displayed. 

Each entry must have on the reverse side the printed name of the entrant, contact phone number, and category.

Photographs will be displayed at the Research Center during operating hours—9am-5pm each day, Monday through Friday, beginning Friday, October 2nd through Tuesday, October 13th. 

An independent judging team of three will select the first, second and third place winners.

Everyone is encouraged to come by and view all the entries. Each person may then vote for their favorite. This creates another winner—Public Favorite. 

Results of the contest will be announced before/between concert performances on the evening of Saturday, October 10th.
