Johnnie Ballenger, 93, of Russell Springs, KY passed away on June 28th at the VA Hospital in Lexington, KY. Johnnie was born in Jamestown, KY on October 26, 1924 a son of the late Mary Jane (Lawless) and Cellie Ballenger.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Marie (Foley) Ballenger, 1 sister Betty Lou Stearns, and 4 brothers Glen, Leonard, Leland and Lindsey Earl Ballenger.

BARBARA WEDDLE NORMAN, 66, LIBERTY

 
Barbara Ann Weddle Norman, 66, of Liberty, KY passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at her home. Born on May 17, 1952 in Liberty, KY, she was a daughter of Eardean and Eula Hatfield Weddle. 
 
Barbara was a dedicated homemaker and caregiver. She also enjoyed baking and sewing.
 
In addition to her parents, she is also survived by 3 sons: Robert (Sherry) Norman of Liberty, Randy Norman of Liberty and Jeff (Erica) Norman of Greensburg; 7 grandchildren: Spencer, Lindsey, Chelsea, Nic, Devin, Jonathon and Bryan; and 3 great-grandchildren: Owen, Leland and Kate. Other survivors include, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
 
Barbara was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Brittany Nicole Norman.
 
Funeral Service: 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, with Bro. Johnnie Maupin officiating.

Mabel (Chumbley) Minton, 94, of Windsor, KY passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Russell County Hospital in Russell Springs, KY. She was born  on  Monday February 25, 1924 in Russell County, KY, a daughter of the late Cornelious Chumbley and Cassie Chumbley Stephens.
 
She was a homemaker and a member of Jennie's Chapel United Methodist Church.

Gregory Lynn Johnson, 55, of Center, KY died Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at his home.  He was the son of the late Dee Johnson and Emogene Bowles Greer who survives.   
 
Besides his mother, he is survived by a brother Kenny Johnson of Knob Lick, 2 nieces: Nickie (Steve) Garmon and Suzie Johnson, 2 great nieces: Cienna Garmon and Alexis Bragg.   
 
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a great nephew: Michael Garmon and his grandparents: Otley & Leora Bowles and Miley & Laura Johnson, 1 sister-in-law: Jeanette Johnson. 
 
Mr. Johnson was a farmer.

Sona Michelle Shaw, 54, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Campbellsville on Tuesday, June 26, 2018. Born February 23, 1964 to the late Samuel Gabbert and Lyda May (Price) Martin. 
 
She was a homemaker and wife to Mr. Harold Keith Shaw, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Shaw suffered several disabilities in her life, but she lived as independently as possible, both in body and spirit. She professed faith in Christ and attended the Campbellsville Baptist Church when possible.
 
She was also preceded in death by 6 siblings: Paula Faye Cox, Rita Mae Hafley, Juanita Jo Morgeson, Charlene Brockman, Marlene Bell, and Jessie Samuel Gabbert

DON ANTLE, 87, CAMPBELLSVILLE

 
Don Antle, 87, of Campbellsville, KY, the son of the late Albert Arnett Antle and Virgie Mae Pike Antle, was born May 15, 1931, in Warren County, Kentucky. He died at 8:25 P.M., Wednesday, June 27, 2018 in Campbellsville.    
 
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Elk Horn Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served his country honorably in the United States Army and was a member of Battery B 623 Field Artillery Battalion. He was also a member of the Elk Horn Masonic Lodge #568 F & AM. Don was a retired employee of Campbellsville Laundry and Kroger. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed talking about fishing to his friends and family.
 
He united in marriage to Nadean Barnett April 25, 1953.
 
Besides his wife, Nadean Antle of Campbellsville, he is survived by two daughters: Donna Antle of Campbellsville and Jeanean Malone and husband, Larry of Buffalo; four grandchildren: Andrea Lawhorn and husband, Phil and Adam Dobson and wife, Rachael of Campbellsville, Andrew Dobson and companion, Meranda Quinn of Knifley and Austin Malone of Buffalo; six great-grandchildren: Chase Lawless, Brianna Dobson, Cayton Lawhorn, Aubri Dobson, Addyson Dobson and Mason Baldwin-Schiess; and many other relatives and friends.

GILBERT E. "GIL" BLEVINS, 74, CAMPBELLSVILLE

 
Gilbert E. “Gil” Blevins, 74, of Campbellsville, KY, the son of Nell Colvin Blevins and the late Edwin Blevins, was born September 29, 1943, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 9:02 A.M., Tuesday, June 26, 2018 while receiving care in the Norton’s Pavilion Hosparus Unit in Louisville.        
 
He professed faith in Christ and was a life-long member of Good Hope Baptist Church. Having done flooring since he was eighteen years old and being the owner of Blevins Tile Flooring, his attention to detail was appreciated by all who used his services. He was an enthusiastic UK fan, an avid golfer and a member of the Campbellsville Country Club since 1965. He was also a devoted husband, loving father and a caring pet owner.
 
He united in marriage to Laurel Livziey April 2, 1992.
 
Besides his wife, Laurel Blevins of Campbellsville, he is survived by one son and one daughter: Sherri Hudson and husband, Ashley of Glasgow and Jeff Blevins and wife, Noel of Columbus, Ohio; three step-children: Kelly Donahue of Newington, Connecticut, Trisha Gaier and husband, Greg of Dayton, Ohio and Todd Hartman and wife, Andrea of Bowling Green and ten grandchildren: Natalie Hudson and Sarah Hudson of Glasgow, Aidan Blevins, Claire Blevins and Chloe Blevins of Columbus, Ohio, Rachel Tucker and Patrick Donahue of Newington, Connecticut, McCall Milby and Natalie Gaier of Dayton, Ohio and Lily Hartman of Bowling Green; two great-grandchildren: Landon Motta and Brynn Motta of Newington, Connecticut; his mother, Nell Blevins of Campbellsville, and many other relatives and friends.

Rebecca Kay Antle, 58 of Jamestown, KY passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 6:10 PM at the Jean Waddle Care Center, Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY after a sudden illness. She was born on Feb 6, 1960 in Adair County, KY, the daughter of the late Herman and Marcella Green Duncan.
 
Rebecca was a member of Griders Chapel United Methodist Church in Russell County, and a custodian at Lindsey Wilson College. She was recently recognized for her 10 years of service at the annual Employee Appreciation and Awards Dinner. Rebecca loved spending time with her family, friends and helping others.

Clyde was a former Police Officer with the Liberty Police Department and the Casey County Sheriffs Department and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

Rebecca “Becky” Brown, 62, of Campbellsville, KY passed from this life on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at the University of Louisville Hospital as the result of an automobile accident. She was born to the late Coakley D. and Vernie Mae (Williams) Seaborne on July 16, 1955. 
 
Ms. Brown had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Christian faith. She retired as a food service professional from Pioneer Catering at Campbellsville University and was currently employed as a bus monitor for the Taylor County School District. She loved her family, and in her free time, enjoyed socializing with friends and family and was an avid fan of the University of Kentucky basketball team.

Elvia Jean Bogues, 84, of Campbellsville, KY passed from this life on Monday, June 25, 2018 at the Green Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Greensburg. She was born in Columbia, KY to the late Hobert and Hyacinth (Rigney) Pyles on February 11, 1934. After the untimely death of her mother, Mrs. Bogues was loved and raised by her grandparents, James B. and Retta Mae Pyles. 
 
She was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served her country honorably during the Korean Conflict. She was a loyal, generous, and loving woman, and rightfully proud of her service to her country, her family, and her God. Mrs. Bogues had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Church of the Nazarene and American Legion.

Rebecca Jean (Roberts) Brock, 61, of the Milltown community, died Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at her home. She was born August 18, 1956, in Taylor County, to Tina Browning Roberts and the late Richard Roberts.  
 
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clarence and Esther Brock and her beloved husband, Tom Brock on October 11, 2017.
 
Jean was a member of Solid Rock Church, a former hairdresser, sewing machine operator, bus driver, dairy farmer and currently employed by the Adair County Board of Education as a Baker/Cook.

BOBBY PHILLIPS, 76, MAGNOLIA

 
Bobby Phillips, 76, of Magnolia, KY, a son of the late Hugh Leonard Phillips and Rebecca Wilson Phillips, was born August 15, 1941, in Peoria, Illinois.  He died at 7:28 A.M., Saturday, June 23, 2018 in Elizabethtown.      
 
Bobby professed faith in Christ and was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Magnolia.
 
He was a retired employee of Phillip Morris and was a former Freemason. Bobby was a big hearted man and his faithful giving to St. Jude Children’s Hospital proved just that. After moving from Louisville he enjoyed collecting Henry firearms mostly in .22 calibers, looking at old cars and loved Bald Eagles.  Most of all Bobby loved his family especially his wife, Rachel.
 
He united in marriage to Rachel Harris March 7, 1964 and she preceded him in death April 20, 2013.  
  
SURVIVORS: 1 daughter, Mary Lois Garr of Magnolia; 2 granddaughters:  Rebecca Ann Chancellor and husband, Criss of Lexington and MaryLynn Louise Garr of Magnolia; 1 great-grandson, Thomas James Choate of Lexington; 1 brother and 1 sister: Rollin Phillips of Louisville and Brenda Siegrist of Holiday, Florida; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
 
He was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Rachel Luriee Kays; three brothers and one sister: William Edward Phillips, Wayne R. Phillips and Charles Phillips and Nellie Jane Phillips in infancy.

Geraldine Patton Asberry, 72, of Dunnville, KY passed away on Friday, June 22, 2018, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. Born on October 16, 1945, in Dunnville, KY, she was a daughter of the late John Welby and Maxine Sallee Patton.
 
Geraldine was a homemaker. She was a founding member of Goose Creek Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother that loved to play card games and fish.
 
She is survived by her husband, Emmett Asberry, who she married on September 26, 1979; three daughters, Sherry (Anthony Roberts) Propes of Liberty, Shirley (Stewart) Carlton of Madison, Alabama and Susan (Gordan) Wilkerson of Dunnville; two sons, Billy (Brandy) Hewitt of Gradyville and Johnny (Misty) Asberry of Dunnville; and a special daughter, Kimberly Hope Salyers of Dunnville. Other survivors include two sisters, Merilene Coffman of Liberty and Imogene Hiter of Athens, Alabama; three brothers, Johnny Patton of Dunnville, Donald Patton of Columbia and James Patton of Liberty; eleven grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

ANTHONY 'POPS' YORK, 97, LIBERTY

 
Anthony “Pops” York, age 97, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018, surrounded by his loving family at the Casey County Hospital in Liberty.
 
Born on August 20, 1920, in Casey County, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Ethel Monroe York and Effie Austin York.
 
Mr. York was a devoted and faithful member, usher, and a member of the building and grounds committee at First Baptist Church of Liberty since 1953. He could be seen handing out church programs every Sunday morning at First Baptist.
 
Throughout his lifetime, Mr. York worked at a service station, feed store, car lot, farmed, and operated a grocery store and gas station. He also worked at King’s Department Store and managed Baldwin’s Men’s Store and Casey Dry Goods, which later became the Dollar General, which was the second Dollar General store in the chain. For his 90th birthday, Mr. York was gifted a self-propelled push mower, and could frequently be seen mowing his, as well his family’s yards, as well as the grounds at Brush Creek Cemetery. In 2013, he was presented with a well-deserved Lifetime Achievement Award.
 
Survivors include his son, Tony (Katie) York of Liberty; daughter, Clydia (David) King of Liberty; seven grandchildren, Brad (Nicky) King, Brian (Angela) King, Barry (Amy) King, Andy Jackson, Ryan (Emma) Jackson, Emilee (David) York Kimbler and Ashley (Josh) York Burchett; ten great-grandchildren, Leann, Jenna, Adam, Jackson, Ava, Asher, Archer, Mason, Kinslee and Avery; and a great-great grandchild, Bailey. Other survivors include two sisters, Lula Bell (Bob) Lawson of Cincinnati, OH and Charlotte (John Livingston) Amburgy of Murfreesboro, TN; and two brothers, Frankie (Dorcas) York of Cincinnati, OH and Michael (Karen) York of Arizona.
 
In addition to his parents, Mr. York is preceded in death by his loving wife, Vodella Thomas York, who passed away on May 23, 2007; a sister, Uva Dell Hoskins; and a brother, Archie York.
 
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at First Baptist Church of Liberty with Bro. Brad King, Bro. Jimmy Brown and Bro. Joe Hatchett officiating. Burial will follow in Wilkerson Cemetery.

Elsie Mason Lee Davis, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2018, at the Dayton Hospice House. She was 70.
 
Born on August 11, 1947, in Liberty, Kentucky, she was a daughter of Ruth Carter Mason and the late Chester Mason. Elsie dedicated her life to caring for others after serving 20+ years as a Registered Nurse. She was of the Christian faith.
 
She is survived by two daughters, Janett (Ronnie) Edwards of Lawrenceburg and Devonda Righter of Union, KY; a son, Richard (Dawn) Lee of Dayton, OH; and four grandchildren, Alison Lee, Melissa Lee, Timmy Lee and Austin Righter. Other survivors include four sisters, Sharon Close of Campbellsville, Lois Jean Eads, Angela Mason and Karen Mason, all of Liberty; and a brother, Ron Mason of Erlanger, KY.
 
In addition to her father, Elsie is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Gregory Davis, who passed away on September 21, 2003; her previous husband, Joseph Lee; a sister, Shirley Wagner; and two brothers, Jack Mason and Paul Mason.

James Edward "Jim" Davidson, 65, of Burkesville, KY passed away on  Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Cumberland County Hospital. Jim was born on August 05, 1952 in Cumberland County, KY to the late James Barlow Davidson and Grace Wright Staley.  

 

He was a veteran of of the United States Navy serving for eleven years, and a former employee of Cumberland Valley Manor where he worked for twelve years.  

 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernie Dale Davidson and Wayne Davidson, and one sister, Golda Mae Davidson.

Fern Baldock Thomas, 88, of Liberty, KY passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Liberty Care Center. Born on August 1, 1929 in Akron, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Wallace and Lillie C. Rubarts Drake.
 
Fern was a retired school teacher in Casey County from Dunnville and Phelps School, and originally taught in one room schoolhouses. She obtained her degree from Eastern Kentucky University. She was also a farmer and homemaker. She enjoyed genealogy and ceramic work. Fern was a member of Thomas Ridge Christian Church.
 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Hollis E. Baldock, who passed away on January 19, 1998, and Delmas Thomas.

Mary Etta Sapp Dudgeon, 85, of Campbellsville, KY, daughter of the late John Floyd Sapp and Cleo Cave Sapp, was born May 13, 1933, in Taylor County, KY. She died at 9:40 P.M., Monday, June 18, 2018.
 
She professed faith in Christ as a young girl and followed her faith for Christ through her life. She was a member of Meadowview Baptist Church.
 
Mary Etta was an employee of the Taylor County Clerk’s Office for some 23 years, a member of the Taylor Republican Women’s Club for many years and a long-time proprietor of Sapp’s Lake in Merrimac, KY.
 
She was a beautiful lady inside and out and was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved everyone deeply.
 
She united in marriage to Donald A. Dudgeon June 6, 1953 and he preceded her in death June 8, 2012.

Jimmy Louis Hughes, 68, of Columbia, KY died Sunday, June 17, 2018 as the result of an automobile accident on the Louie B. Nunn Cumberland Parkway in Russell County. He was born August 20, 1949, in Adair County, KY to the late Chester and Ruth Lee Moore Hughes.

Margie Ann (Sneed) Elsler, 78, died Friday, June 15, 2018 in Elberta, Alabama. Margie was born December 18, 1939 in Columbia, KY to the late Roy Claudus and Stella (Baker) Sneed. 
 
She was retired from General Electric in Louisville, KY. and was a former member of One Community Church in Clarksville, IN.  Margie was a Kosair Shrine Greeterette and past President as well as the Eastern Star, Shrine Apet Guild and a past Maharanee. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her family and friends and preceded in death by nine Siblings and a grandson Tyne Allen Janes.

Bea Samuel Montgomery, 94, of Campbellsville, KY, daughter of the late Paul Cobb and Cora Coleman Cobb, was born November 27, 1923 in Owen County, Kentucky.  She died at 10:15 P.M., Saturday, June 16, 2018 in Campbellsville.    
 
Bea was an amazing woman. She was not only a homemaker, she was a surgical technician and she co-owned with her husband Ollie, Montgomery Shoe Store and the Cozy Theatre. She was a former president of the Democratic Women’s Club, a member of the Campbellsville Women’s Club and a former chairperson for the Cancer Crusade. She was a long-time member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church.
 
She united in marriage to Ollie Montgomery on November 8, 1947 and he preceded her in death March 25, 1994.

CORA ANN (LAWSON) GRAY, 94, CAMPBELLSVILLE

 
Cora Ann (Lawson) Gray, 94, a long-time resident of Campbellsville, KY, was born on December 2, 1923 in Brady, West Virginia to the late James Albert and Amelia Ellen (Shreves) Lawson. She departed this life on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the Jane Todd Hospital in Greensburg. 
 
Mrs. Gray was the wife of Mr. Willis Gray, who preceded her in death in 1973. She had made a profession of faith in Christ at an early age; she first joined the Walnut Street Baptist Church and later became a member of Lowell Avenue Baptist Church. As a young lady, she worked at the Westinghouse plant in Akron, Ohio, which switched to riveting aircraft parts during World War II. After moving to Campbellsville, she worked at the Fruit of the Loom plant for 33 ½ years before her retirement. She loved her cats and animals, often mending wounded strays and offering them a permanent home, but her primary love was for her children and grandchildren.

Gordon Wesley Doughty, 74, of the Mannsville community in Taylor County, KY passed from this life on Sunday, June 17, 2018 after an extended illness. Born in Jackson, TN to the late George W. Doughty, Sr. and Catherine Elizabeth (Craig) Wilson on February 6, 1944.
 
Mr. Doughty was a retiree of the Fruit of the Loom plant in Campbellsville, where he had worked as a boiler operator.  He professed faith in Christ and attended the Mannsville United Methodist Church as his health allowed. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, and served his country honorably during the Vietnam era.

Brandon Burns, 34, of Columbia, KY passed away suddenly Sunday, June 17, 2018 at  7:48 a.m. at his home. He was born September 30, 1983 in Campbellsville, KY.
 
Brandon attended the Columbia First Church of the Nazarene and was the Lindsey Wilson College Bowling Team Coach. Brandon made a lasting impression on the lives of his student athletes, family and countless friends. His infectious personality and passion for life was evident whether on the golf course, in a bowling alley, or just spending time with those who loved him.

James A. “Jim” Hatcher, 73, of Campbellsville, KY, the son of the late Herbert W. Hatcher and Laura Raymer Hatcher, was born March 3, 1945 in Jefferson County, KY. He died at 5:51pmET on Saturday, June 16, 2018 in Elizabethtown, KY.
 
He professed faith in Christ and was of the Cumberland Presbyterian faith. Jim was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served his country honorably in the United States Navy and received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal (two bronze stars), Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with device. He was a retired truck driver, a member and past master of the Pitman Masonic Lodge #124, a member of the Grand Lodge of Kentucky, a member of American Legion Post #82, a member of the VFW and a devoted husband and father who loved to hunt and fish.
 
He united in marriage to Kaye Shofner May 2, 1969.

Raymond Lee, 88, of Liberty, KY passed from this life on Friday, June 15, 2018 at the Russell County Hospital.  Born March 24, 1930 in Casey County, KY, he was the son of the late Sam and Linnie Overstreet Lee.  
 
Raymond was a retired minister after many years in the service for the Lord.  He also was a self-employed car salesman.  Throughout his life, Raymond attended the Highway 206 Pentecostal Holiness Church and various other churches.  He loved attending church and playing music with his family.

He served his country in the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict, was a member of Greasy Creek Baptist Church in Green County and a truck driver for Ruan Transport for 34 years.
 
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan May Roberts Austin on May 16, 2007.

Stephan “Steve” Daniels, 61, of Warsaw, KY passed away on June 6, 2018.  Steve was a retired police officer, faithfully serving the City of Norwood for over 24 years.  While enjoying retirement, Steve was “Your Country Agent” at Huff Realty.
 
Steve enjoyed being with his family and friends, working on his farm, golfing, watching sports, and his John Deere tractors.  He was an avid Bengals and University of Cincinnati basketball fan, holding season tickets for both for many years.

Marvin D.  “Rocky” Harris, Jr. of Morehead, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2018.  He was 64 years of age.
 
Born January 9, 1954 in Lexington, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Marvin D., Sr. and Georgie Lanham Harris.  He was a self-employed salesman and loved to trade at flea markets.  Marvin loved people and was a secret Santa in his community for many years.  He was also well known for his passion in family genealogy.
 
Survivors include two daughters, Rebecca Woods and Tina Spears, both of Columbus, Indiana; one son, Brandon Jenkins of Noblesville, Indiana; five brothers, Don Harris of Nicholasville, Kentucky, Melvin Harris of Edinburgh, Indiana, Kenneth Harris of Columbus, Indiana, Roger Harris of Moultrie, Georgia, and Gordon Harris of Columbus, Indiana; one sister, Jane Harvey of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Beverly’s passion was giving of herself and her time to others as she had volunteers for 28 years at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. She enjoyed shopping, especially for shoes, listening to classical and soft gospel music and caring for her canine babies: Bella and Susie. A sincerely sweet lady that will be missed.

Ray Price, 83, of Columbia, KY passed away Friday, June 8, 2018 at 7:45 PM at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, KY. He was born on April 10, 1935 in Adair County, KY, the son of the late Arlis Raymond  & Amanda Ermon Coomer Price.
 
Ray attended Amazing Grace Church, had worked for the Adair County Board of Education as a Custodian, had work for American Tobacco Company & IGA in Columbia
 
Preceded in death by his wife Louise Pendleton Price on March 7, 2002, a Granddaughter Frona Murrell in 2015, & one sister Bea Collins

LONNIE J. HUDSON, 80, LIBERTY

 
Lonnie J. Hudson, 80, of Liberty, KY passed away on Friday, June 8, 2018, in Dunnville. Born on July 21, 1937, in Casey County, KY, he was a son of the late Lonnie G. and Nannie Ellis Hudson. 
 
Lonnie was a truck driver for over 50 years. He was a friendly man that loved people so much that he truly never met a stranger. He enjoyed his morning trips to The Village Restaurant in Liberty every day.
 
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Bufford Hudson.

John Henry Dotson, 73, of Campbellsville, KY, son of the late Jake and Bessie (Martin) Dotson, passed away at his home on Friday, June 8, 2018 after an illness. 
 
Born on January 1, 1945, he was a retired horseman, having spent the majority of his life breaking and training horses. In what little spare time he had, he also enjoyed tinkering with small engines. 
 
Mr. Dotson was married to Helen (Haynes) Dotson, who preceded him in death in 2014.

EDWIN "BOO" VANCLEAVE, 72, CAMPBELLSVILLE

 
Edwin “Boo” VanCleave, 72, of Campbellsville, KY, son of the late William VanCleave and Zillah Antle VanCleave, was born October 22, 1945, in Jefferson County, KY. He died at 8:40 P.M., Thursday, June 7, 2018 in Campbellsville.     
 
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Salem Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having his country honorable in Germany during the Vietnam War. Edwin was a retired employee of the Campbellsville Water Company, having worked at the Water Treatment Plant. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and loved to pick on people he liked.
 
He united in marriage to Paula Newcomb August 31, 1974.
 
Besides his wife, Paula VanCleave of Campbellsville, he is survived by one son and one daughter: Robby VanCleave and wife, Becky of Campbellsville and Nikki Espey and husband, Curtis of Bowling Green; two grandchildren: Skyeler Espey of Bowling Green and Lee VanCleave of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
 
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Cary Pickett August 22, 1997.

Dorothy Knight, 92, of La Center, KY died on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 12:50 p.m. at Life Care Center in LaCenter, KY. She was a daughter of the late James and Janie Mae Louise Romain Myatt.
 
Dorothy was a member of First Baptist Church of La Center, KY.  She loved flowers, gardening and upholstering furniture. Dorothy loved to watch birds, especially Martins and Hummingbirds. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Dewey Knight; 2 brothers, Jessie Myatt and Jimmy Myatt and 3 sisters, Beulah Peyton, Merle Boulton and Mary Taylor.

MARY ELLA JAYNES, 84 OF CORBIN, FORMERLY OF CASEY COUNTY

 

Mary Ella Jaynes, 84, of Corbin passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Baptist Health Corbin.

A native of Whitley County, she was a daughter of the late Dave and Elizabeth Sammons Harris.  A sister Evelyn Watson also preceded her in death.

Mary Ella moved to Casey County in 2009 and returned to Corbin in 2017.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and other family members.  She attended the Brummett Church of Christ.

Survivors include her three children: Mickey Messer (Wes), Teddy Jaynes (Janice), and Tim Jaynes (Cindy);  six grandchildren: Heather Mulberry (Stephen), Teddy Allen Jaynes, Trent Jaynes, Hope Mosley (Sid), Jacob Jaynes, and Allison Jaynes;  three great grandchildren: Trevor Mulberry, Molli Mulberry, and Ethan Messer;  her former husband, Bill Jaynes;  and two sisters: Jean Nelson and Betty Kelly.

Mary's visitation will begin at 3:00 pm Friday at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.  Her funeral will follow there at 5:00 pm with Brother Frank Vanzant officiating.  Burial will be at the Smith Cemetery at Faber.

Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

He was the former owner of Sullivan Produce & Grocery, and a longtime employee of CMC Construction in Louisville, Ky and Glen Buick in Lexington, Ky. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with loved ones, family and friends alike. He was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Faubush, Ky

Donna Maness Briscoe, 64, of Greensburg, KY (formerly of Baton Rouge, Louisiana), daughter of the late James Maness and Dorothy Maness, was born on April 18, 1954 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and departed this life on June 5, 2018 at the Norton Hosparus Care Center in Louisville. 
 
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a retired retail management worker.
 
Survived by her husband, Terry Michael Briscoe of Green County having united in marriage on December 30, 2003.
Other survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law: Mandy and Ian Woodruff of Greensburg and Karen Kleppinger of Mississippi; two sons: Clay Blount of Louisiana and Dusty Blount of Georgia; one step-daughter: Christie Briscoe of Louisville; three step-sons: Terry Michael Briscoe, Jr., Michael Paul Briscoe and Cody Collins Briscoe, all of Louisville and Devin Lee Briscoe of Louisiana; one brother: David Maness of Louisiana; a father-in-law: Herschel Lee Briscoe of Indiana; fourteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
 
She was also preceded in death by a son: Karl Dale Kleppinger.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served his country honorably in the United States Army and was the recipient of the Purple Heart. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Mt. Gilboa Baptist Church. Anthony was a retired painter.
 
He united in marriage to Cheri Harden October 26, 2001.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Blytheville, Arkansas. He was a retired Buyer and Consultant for International Harvester having worked for over 33 years. He was also a Veteran of World War II having served in the United States Air Force Army Air Corps and was a member of the American Legion Louisville Post #200.

Billy Dean Estes, 61, was born to the late Adolphus and Zannie (Burton) Estes in Green County, KY on January 29, 1957. He departed this life on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at his home in Campbellsville. 
 
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Estes was employed at Ingersol-Rand and retired after many years of service. He spent his years doing what he loved, from playing cards or fishing, to watching NASCAR or Kentucky basketball, but his passion was his grandchildren.

CAROL ANN GOODIN, 76, LOUISVILLE

 
Carol Ann Goodin, 76, of Louisville, KY and Naples, FL passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 27, 2018 in her Louisville home. 
 
She was a beloved wife and mother, treasuring time spent with her husband, children and grandchildren. She dedicated her life to God and was an active member in both St. John Lutheran Church in Louisville KY and Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Naples FL. She was a retired nurse who loved helping others through her volunteer work with hospitals, The Healing Place, and the Greater Louisville Medical Society. She participated in other organizations including The Fillies, Inc. of which she was a past president. She adored spending time with her friends, especially traveling and mountain hiking in the Rockies and Europe.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Allan and Helen Hornby, and her brother, Ron Hornby. 
 
SURVIVORS: 
Devoted husband of 52 years: Dr. Robert R Goodin
3 children: Dr. Jodi Goodin Hugues (Paul), Dr. Robert A Goodin (Amy), and Dr. Kara Goodin
4 grandchildren: Wyatt, Davis and Kate Goodin and Maggie Hugues
2 sisters: Barb Wigglesworth (Dick) and Judy Farley (Paul)
Many siblings-in-law; nieces and nephews; and other dear family members and friends
 
Visitation and Funeral Service: Saturday, June 2, 2018 at St. John Lutheran Church, 901 Breckinridge Lane, Louisville KY with visitation from 9-10:30 amET, funeral service at 11amET, and reception to follow. A celebration of life will be held in Naples Florida at a later date.
 
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made through donations to St. John Lutheran Church or the Norton Cancer Institute.
