MARK DAVIS, 61 (ADAIR CO. NATIVE) & WIFE LISA CHEATHAM, 58, CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY

Mark Davis Cheatham, 61, son of the late Davis and Evelyn Ruth “Shorty” (Feese) Cheatham, was born in Adair County on October 4, 1959. On March 8, 1962 Lisa Cheatham, 58, daughter of the late Charles and Betty Lou (Tullis) Tucker, was born in Taylor County. On April 10, 1981 they united in marriage beginning an inseparable journey through life.

On Friday, December 11, 2020 at the age of 61, Mark succumbed to complications of Covid-19 at the Norton Hospital in Louisville. On Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at the age of 58, Lisa joined him in eternity after losing her battle with the same disease.

Mark was a heavy equipment operator for the Kentucky Department of Transportation and Lisa was a recently retired jobs coordinator for the Cabinet for Families & Children and an educator for family services through Eastern Kentucky University, and together they were the owners of Featherway Farms. They cherished the time they spent with each other and rarely was one seen without the other. They both loved to travel and were active members in the Soule Chapel United Methodist Church. If the weather was decent and they weren’t fishing, and hunting season wasn’t in (mostly for Mark) or there wasn’t enough people around to start a Rook game (usually for Lisa), there was a pretty good chance they were riding together on their motorcycle. Both of them loved to laugh; they understood how to make life better for those around them, and they regularly chose the paths in life that would brighten peoples spirits.

SURVIVORS:
2 daughters: Jama Allen and husband Anthony of Liberty, and Jessica Cheatham of Campbellsville
2 grandchildren: Kenzie Vaughn and Miley Sprowles
2 step-grandchildren: Alyssa Allen and Hailey Allen
Mark’s sisters: Susie Skaggs & husband Ricky, and Lisa Ann Cash & husband Gary, all of Campbellsville
Lisa’s sister: Tanya Reardon & husband Johnny of Campbellsville
A host of extended family members and friends

Walk-Thru Visitation: Saturday, December 19, 2020 from 10:30 AM until 1:30 PM at L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. All attendees are asked to wear a mask and maintain a safe social distance.

Burial: Mark & Lisa will be laid to rest beside each other in Cane Valley Cemetery following a private funeral service with Bro. Ashley Shuffett, Bro. John Loy, and Bro. Roger Moran officiating

Mr. and Mrs. Cheatham had previously set up an education fund for their grandchildren at Citizen's Bank and Trust in Campbellsville. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in the form of contributions to that fund, Gideon Bibles, or the Soule Chapel UMC building fund. Those can be made in person at the funeral home or at any Citizen's Bank and Trust branch, or online through the "How Can I Help" tab on the home page of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home website.
